Yule Give Lovin’ While Shoppin’
The fun never stops during the JCI Naga Cariñosa Bazaar, tagged: “Yule Give Lovin’, While Shoppin’” last November 29- Dec, 2, 2007. It was the busiest days for all the Cariñosas as they willingly devoted the 4 day scheduled bazaar and pour out all their efforts and turns out to be successful.
The objective of this fund raising was achieved because it benefited our two beneficiaries: Bantay Bata Foundation and Missionaries of the Poor. It turns out not only a fund raising but an event for family, especially kids. Aside from those “tiangges” and food shops showcased, an everyday activity for kids and JCI members was held. This was an event truly made for everyone.
In preparing this bazaar, we always had follow meetings every other day 2 weeks before the big event. We had Radio Tours, scouting some potential and additional exhibitors, follow up of our sponsors, distribution of invitations, and many other things that we couldn’t really imagine we actually did it!
From day 1, Mototrcade, Opening, Ribbon Cutting and Blessing people have been uttering what was the bazaar all about and what is JCI Naga Cariñosa. For those who didn’t know what our chapter is all about, they keep on visiting our bazaar. At the end of the day, we had JCI Family Day Celebration, tagged: Tiripon Kita, Kaiba an Familia” (means, “we are all gathered together with our family”). The venue was jam packed with kids and families that even a non-JCI member/ family participated in the event. It was highlighted with the presentation of clowns and picture taking with Santa Claus. (which it does every night during the bazaar). That day, our LOM president was in an important business conference, so she did a n Audio Visual Presentation with Bantay Bata and made a speech in the said AVP.
On the 3rd day as usual the venue was always jam packed with visitors, children and families! We were not expecting a big crowd as every night we always had a clown presentation and Ms. Santa which was the reason of our tiangges’ success.
A dramatic turn over of coin banks from Bantay Bata Foundation was held on the last day. Naga Cariñosa will also help in the distribution of coin banks for all cariñosas with business and other individual who will contribute. Then there were Media - local tv and radio representatives who were there to capture stories from us. We even greeted the Bantay Bata on air via ABS-CBN (local and National).
As our bazaar ends, we can say it was a great exposure of the JCI Naga Cariñosa. We even heard there are interested individual who would want to be part of us, and that was overwhelming. On our OTS we will be able to invite them and we will not have difficulty in looking and scouting a potential JCi Cariñosa.
We believe ... "That service to humanity is the best work of life."
