JCI Naga & JCI Naga Cariñosa aims for better this 2010!

JCI Naga & JCI Naga Cariñosa will be having their joint Induction & Turnover Ceremonies on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the Villa Caceres Hotel, Naga City. This will be JCI Naga’s 55th & JCI Naga Cariñosa’s 17th celebration of the event.Considered as one of the highlights every year for JCI, both JCI Naga & JCI Naga Cariñosa earnestly prepared for the coming event. This is the chance of welcoming new members into the fun & truly worthwhile world of Jayceeism. [02/04/2010]

JCI Bicol Officers Convene for Planning

Officers of the JCI Philippines in the bicol region convene to plan out projects and activities for the term 2010 on November 21, 2009 in Legazpi City. The meeting was headed by JCI Mem. Gregorio Areneta Lipa, the National Vice President for Bicol and was attended by the presidents and representatives from different chapter in the region. Trainings, schedule of chapter inductions, declaration of target membership for 2010 and appointment of regional officers were part of the agenda of the meeting. The outcome of the planning will be adopted on the first regional council meeting schedule on January 23, 2009 in Daet, Camarines Norte .[11/29/2009]

the JCI Chapter Management Course

Two (2) JCI Naga members completed the JCI ADMIN, the JCI Local Organization Manement course held on November 14, 2009 at the Camarines Sur Chamber of Commerce building, BMC road, Panganiban drive, Naga City. JCI Mem. Julius Castillo and JCI Mem. Ulysses Viola took the opportunity in attending one of the major courses of Junior Chamber International to contribute in direction of JCI Naga.

One of the opportunities of being a member of JCI is the development of individual through trainings. JCI Admin is a course taken by members who want to become local officers and want to understand the role and responsibilities of officers and dynamics of the management, administration, meetings, opportunities and planning of an efficient JCI Local Organization.

The training was conducted by JCI Mem. Richard Dennis Tan, ITF of JCI Manila as head trainer and assisted by JCI Mem. Paulo Laurena of JCI Makati and JCI Mem. Sam Bobiles of JCI Legazpi. [11/15/2009]

Ten (10) new recruits attend the First NMO for 2010

Ten (10) new recruits attended the NMO (New Members Orientation) seminar on November 13, 2009 at the Villa Caceres Hotel. The seminar was conducted by an international trainer, JCI Mem. Richard Dennis Tan, ITF of JCI Manila through the invitation of JCI Naga Carinosa headed by its president, JCI Mem. Miel Bonggon. The new recruits can now enjoy the opportunities of being a member of the leading global voluntary organization of young professionals, the JCI and are expected to contribute in facing the challenges in the JCI Naga LOM term 2010. JCI TOTs: Fairy Tale Party for Kids

Typhoon Santi was not an obstacle for JCI Naga and JCI Naga Carinosa's annual trick or treat for kids. Despite of the strong winds and heavy rains, the fairy tale party was held on October 30, 2009 at the Champaign Garden, Naga City. The Children were dressed up like the fairy tale characters on TV/ movies accompanied by their parents. The activities have given them lots of fun and excitements. They're amazed looking at the costume of their friends and enjoying the games and magic show while the parents are watching and taking pictures of them.

Negosyo Patrol exposes business and investment opportunities

The DTI (Department of Trade and Industries) holds the 2009 Negosyo Patrol. This year's event was held at the SM City Activity Center on tuesday, October 27, 2009 to expose activities to the general public and to encourage more attendees. This is also to give them a chance to hear business opportunities that they might be interested to start in Naga City. Investment opportunities in the line of catering services, animation, dress making, franchising and other topics were discussed and demostrated by representatives from the different industries. JCI Naga, a group of young businessmen is one of the partners on this events for their advocacy to boost businesses in Naga City and the whole region.

New JCI Local Organization starts in Pili

On September 25, 2009, the new JCI local organization has been started in Pili, Camarines Sur. With JCI Naga as sponsoring chapter, an opportunity to succeed seminar was conducted by JCI Mem. Vincent Lobrigo (JCI Trainer) assisted by JCI Sen, Rikko Evangelista (PNTC) and JCI Mem. Mark Dennison Enrile (JCI Trainer) discussed about nature and opportunities of being a JCI member and shared their experiences to the new members. JCI Mem. Greg Lipa (NVP for Bicol) with JCI Mem. Charlie Chua (2009 President of JCI Legazpi) and JCI Mem. Oriel Madela (2010 President Elect of JCI Legazpi) witnessed the event. The orientation was concluded with the election of officers wherein JCI Mem. Dwight Belza was elected as the charterred President for the new JCI Pili.

JCI Pili was opened and discussed to Hon. Romy Salazar (Past President of JCI Pili Capital) by JCI Naga headed by JCI Mem. Vincent Lobrigo with JCI Sen. Lear San Buenaventura, JCI Mem. Rikko Evangelista and JCI Mem. Nono Aquino and endorsed by Hon. Pol San Buenaventura (JCI Member and former Congressman of Camarines Sur) and Hon. Sal Fortuno (JCI Member and Vice Governor of Camarines Sur) on August 24, 2009 during the meeting at the Cafe Federico, Crown Hotel, Naga City). JCI Pili has been organized and aimed to integrate the two (2) former chapters of Pili, the JCI Pili Capital and JCI Pili Ligwan.


JCI Naga, host to the 2010 SOLAC

JCI Naga won the bid to host the 2010 Southern Luzon Area Conference in Naga City on September 3-5, 2010. The local organization, which is the first in Bicol, unanimously received the votes and supports from all the Area 3 LOMs during the election held on September 6, 2009 in La Virginia Resort, Mataas na Lupa, Batangas. It was then approved in the closing plenary headed by JCI Sen. Karen Sia, NEVP for Area 3 and endorsed by JCI Sen. Rikko Evangelista, NVP for Bicol.

Over 500 delegates from the different chapters of JCI Philippines in Southern Luzon are expected to come to experience the new watersports facilities at the Camarines Watersports Complex, tour around the significant places in Naga City, try the bicol region’s delicacies and most importantly be a part of the 300 years celebration of INA, Our Lady of Peñafrancia.

SOLAC 2010 is one of the JCI Naga’s major hosting in the 55 years of existence follow up to the historical and very successful JCI Philippines National Convention in 2001 in the city. The local organization, headed by its president elect, JCI Mem. Vincent Lobrigo and JCI Mem. Alexis Fante, conference director are gearing up for this momentous event.
